Kernersville Jr. High School
Jack W. Blaylock firmly established his athletic reputation as a coach at Kernersville Junior High School from 1951-52. He coached his way to five state finals, with 185 wins and 60 losses. His teams traveled to the state playoffs for seven of his 11 coaching years and won the state championship in 1957 and 1958. He was also nominated as Forsyth County Coach of the Year five times.
Blaylock's greatest years were 1962-1971 when he coached at East Forsyth Senior High. He compiled a record of 299 wins and 158 losses and was named Coach of the Year five times. He also coached his way to the district playoffs 11 times. Along with his coaching duties, Blaylock also served as athletic director for East Forsyth.
