Wilson Alexander was a star guard for the Reynolds High School football team from 1947 to 1950. Earning a letter as a freshman was only a promise of things to come. Over the next three years, Alexander was named All City, All Conference, All State, and All Southern. He also received an honorable mention for High School All American honors in 1950. A bruising player, Alexander was so rough in practice that he was once called to the sidelines by Coach John Tandy who feared the 16-year-old night hurt his teammates.
While Alexander's greatest achievements were on the gridiron, his athletic talents were varied. While at Reynolds, he also earned letters in baseball and basketball.
